This was a week I focused more on employment and career development than
on trying to get a mix of articles covering management, career and
personal performance. If you’ve been reading the articles on the site
over the last few months, you’ll have noticed that I have been leaning
toward publishing more in the way of career and employment. I can’t look
at the unemployment figures without wanting to try to add something to
the effort to help folks get and improve jobs. I figure part of
my
job is offering resources to improve skills and performance in job
hunting. (If you want to see more articles on career and employement, be
sure to look in the Superperformance.comŽ
Articles Directory under that category. Remember, there are over
1,000 articles on this site.)
As part of my contribution, I published
an article of my own on a job-getting technique I found out about a
little while back: how to get noticed, networked and hired by giving
classes (workshops, seminars) and positioning yourself as an expert.
You’ll find that in the list of articles below, along with the guest
articles I published this week.
But if you want some excellent help, job listings and advice, be sure
to check out Yahoo’s
HotJobs career center. And don’t miss
QuintCareers.com.
You’ve probably already been to
Monster.com and
CareerBuilder.com
as the top job boards, but if you haven’t yet tried
Indeed.com, you’re
missing a bet.
